Report: Former State Representative to Pay Newspaper $20,000

LANSING (WOOD-AM) - The Detroit News says former state representative Todd Courser has entered into a settlement that will require him to pay the newspaper $20,000.

Courser filed a defamation lawsuit against the publication for a 2015 report about his efforts to cover up an affair with former Plainwell state representative Cindy Gamrat.

That case was dismissed.
