The man headed to trial for the murder of his 14-year-old daughter over 30 years ago, is confessing to another crime.
Dennis Bowman is confessing to the assault and rape of a 27-year-old Holland woman in 1979.
The Ottawa County Sheriff's Office was looking for a young man who raped and assaulted a woman in her home.
Bowman was living just down the street from the woman at that time.
Police are now looking at other Ottawa County cold cases to see if Bowman is involved.
