The Michigan Gaming Control Board is authorizing online sports betting to begin at noon on Friday.
The board has approved nine operators, both commercial and tribal, for online gaming and sports betting.
The platforms will allow local and state governments to benefit from taxes while providing new access for customers.
Authorized platforms launching Friday include Bay Mills Indian Community, Grand Traverse Band of Ottawa and Chippewa Indians, Greektown Casino, Hannahville Indian Community, Keweenaw Bay Indian Community, Little River Band of Ottawa Indians, MGM Grand Detroit, Motor City Casino and Sault Ste. Marie Tribe of Chippewa Indians.
