DETROIT, Mich. - A little over 24 hours away from their first game of their 2021 season, the Detroit Red Wings named Dylan Larkin to be the 37th captain in franchise history.
Larkin has played in 389 games with the Wings, and is entering his sixth season in Detroit.
The Waterford-native played for both the University of Michigan and the Grand Rapids Griffins before making the jump to the NHL at age 19.
