The Michigan Department of Health and Human Services announced 5,793 cases of COVID-19 and 190 deaths.
Thirty of the deaths were discovered during routine death certificate checks.
The statewide labs 35,155 samples and saw a positivity rate of 14.72 percent.
Governor Whitmer said in a Tuesday press conference that her administration expects cases to rise after too many people traveled for Thanksgiving, however it is too soon for that data.
