GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. - Last week, a man was struck by a van on Oct. 12 on the northeast side of Grand Rapids. The Kent County Sheriff's Office said that 28-year-old Patrick James Hooyman died from his injuries Monday morning.
Hooyman was struck by the vehicle last Monday night, around 7:45 p.m., on Knapp Street NW, east of Leffingwell Avenue NE.
Authorities noted that Hooyman was wearing all black clothes and tried to cross five lanes of traffic in an unlit portion of the road.
