A post Tuesday by President Trump falsely claiming that the flu is more lethal than COVID-19 has been removed by Facebook.
The President wrote in the post, “Many people every year, sometimes over 100,000, and despite the Vaccine, die from the Flu. Are we going to close down our Country? No, we have learned to live with it, just like we are learning to live with Covid, in most populations far less lethal!!!”
Data from the federal government shows that 209,000 Americans have died of COVID-19 this year, more than in the past five flu seasons combined.
