At the Unity Christian football game on Friday, a group of students gathered outside the stadium without masks on.
The Michigan High Schools Athletic Association Executive Director Mark Uyl said the athletic director should have told the students to leave.
Athletic Director Jeff Engbers did not address the students. He was unavailable for comment on Monday.
