GRANDVILLE, Mich. (WOOD TV) — Football in West Michigan will be a reality all because of a group of home-schooled teenagers in.
Coach Brian Shaffer with the locally-based Grand Valley Christian Patriots said his team will open the fall season in Franklin, Ohio, on Aug. 29.
Shafer said the team has 32 home-schooled players who live in the Grand Rapids region. His team will be playing their home games at Grandville Middle School.
