WALKER, Mich. (WOOD TV) — Business experts would say there’s not a more shaky period of time to open a new business than during a pandemic.
This being after bars and restaurants were allowed to reopen nearly a month ago, some are now opening their doors for the first time — just like Lost Art Brewhouse in Walker.
Brad Lawrence, co-owner of the Lost Art Brewhouse noted, “The unpredictable nature of everything was the hardest thing to get through. Just not knowing if you prepare for something this week if it’s even going to be relevant by next week.”
The small Walker-based brewery is two years in the making, and COVID-19’s effect on the economy already caused problems before the doors ever opened.
