LANSING, Mich (WOODTV) — Under a new executive order, Governor Gretchen Whitmer on Wednesday announced the closing of indoor seating in bars in the lower parts of the state.The new order does not impact northern Michigan and the Upper Peninsula.
In addition to the executive order regarding bars issue today, the governor also signed a bill which allowed bars and restaurants to sell cocktails-to-go in an effort to help boost sales.
Under the new order, bars in this region won’t have to close down completely. The order also allows bars to keep open their outdoor patios.
