GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) — The Kent County prosecutors office said charges have been filed against another person in connection to the May 30 and May 31 riot in downtown Grand Rapids.
Chris Becker, Kent County Prosecutor, announced Tuesday that Andrew Tyler, 28, has been charged with one count of rioting, one count of malicious destruction of police property and one count of malicious destruction of a business.
Prosecutors say there is no information on when Tyler will be arraigned.
Becker's office said that there are now 14 adults and one 15-year-old charged in connection to rioting in Grand Rapids.
City officials estimate rioters caused more than $2 million in damage downtown.
