GRAND RAPIDS (WOOD-AM) - There was a unique fundraiser and police reform demonstration in Grand Rapids over the weekend.
"Push 4 Change" rallies have been held throughout the country. Now, Grand Rapids has hosted its first.
The group started at Cherry Park, raising awareness and money for the NAACP and other organizations. Afterward, dozens of skateboarders rolled through downtown.
"Skateboarding brings everybody together and there's a lot of things going on that people aren't talking about that they should be talking about," Mikey Callendar told WOOD-TV.
