ALLENDALE TOWNSHIP (WOOD-AM) - A controversial statue of a confederate soldier, a union soldier and a slave in Allendale Township was covered with a plastic bag and and notes overnight.
WOOD-TV says Grand Valley State University students were responsible.
"This is a glorification of a racist past that has no place in a public space," one note said.
