GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) — A planned May Day demonstration is the reason GRPD says drivers should anticipate additional traffic delays and backups on Friday.
The protest is planned for May 1, according to GRPD officers , falling on the same day it has been in years past. It’s expected the protest will be a vehicle parade.
IT's believed that the protestors will assemble around noon near Lincoln Park on Bridge Street NW in the John Ball area.
As of now, the parade route is not known, despite police officers saying they have reached out repeatedly to contact event organizers.
