WML Thursday: Impeachment, Trump Rally & Box Office Previews

The House voted "Yes" on two articles of impeachment while Trump was at his "Merry Christmas" rally. Justin takes your calls to hear your opinions.

April Butler from Celebration! Cinema joins us to talk about what's coming to this Box Office this weekend and what you should be looking out for!

BIG 3

1  The House voted "yes" on two articles of impeachment Wednesday night while President Trump was on stage at a "Merry Christmas rally in Battle Creek.

No Republican voted in favor of the articles. 3 Democrats joined Republicans in voting no. Justin Amash, an independent from West Michigan voted yes.

Next the articles would be sent to the Senate, where two-thirds majority of senators would have to vote convict him to remove the President from office.

But Democrats just don't have the votes for that.

And curiously, Speaker Nancy Pelosi has stalled on the move. Some Democrats want to make sure Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell agrees to the Senate trial procedure Dems have requested.

2 While the Hosue debated and voted, Sen. McConnell forced a deal with Democrats to expedite 11 federal district judge nominations.

McConnell has had a lot of success changing the country's judicial landscape, installing about 50 appellate court judges and clocking a big win for Trump and his agenda.

Speaking of judges, a federal appeals court ruled that the Affordable Care Act's individual mandate is unconstitutional.

3 The Michigan Marijuana Regulatory Agency is recalling vaping cartridges sold by Elite Wellness in Bay City and Mount Morris, near Flint.

The Michigan Department of Licensing and Regulatory Affairs says many of the cartridges had levels of vitamin E acetate more than 500 times the limit at which the additive would be detected.
