GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) — Elton John is saying goodbye again.
He’s bringing his “Farewell Yellow Brick Road Tour” tour to Grand Rapids for a second time, this time with a visit to Van Andel Arena April 23.
This yellow brick road is a long one, with more than a year of goodbyes, but local artist and self-proclaimed Elton John enthusiast Mic Carlson of Grand Rapids will never be ready to say goodbye.
“When I saw him in concert for the first time, that was it,” Carlson recalled.
The exact number of shows he’s seen is unclear:
“I think I stopped counting at 40,” he said.
