VERGENNES TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WOOD) — A Lowell-area man who had been missing since Sunday evening was found dead Tuesday, authorities say.
The body of 23-year-old Austin Goebel was found on a property near his home on Fallasburg Park Drive north of Lowell, the Kent County Sheriff’s Department said Tuesday evening.
The cause of his death was not released, but authorities say there is no threat to the public. An autopsy has been scheduled.
When reporting him missing, family members told the sheriff’s office Goebel had mental health issues and was very unusual for him to wander off.
