HOLLAND, Mich. (WOOD) — For the first time in five years, the healthiest county in the state is not in West Michigan.
Ottawa County has been knocked out of the top spot in the2019 health rankingsreleased by the University of Wisconsin Population Health Institute and the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation.
Ottawa County dropped to No. 2, behind Leelanau County, located in northern Michigan’s wine country. The two counties have been battling for the title since the online rankings started in 2011.
