GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (via WOOD TV 8) — Drivers in downtown Grand Rapids will encounter new roadblocks on and around the Pearl Street Bridge Sunday.
City officials say construction and renovations to the Amway Grand Plaza Hotel are closing Pearl Street between Front and Campau avenues for several weeks.
The closures will start at 6 p.m. Sunday, March 17 to allow crews to bring in a crane for fascade work to the Amway Grand Plaza hotel. Grand Rapids officials say workers will be replacing the building front with more energy-efficient materials and windows.
