GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) — After a long and cold second half of winter, West Michigan will finally get warmer temperatures Thursday, but not under sunshine and blue skies.
The more likely scenario will be a strong southerly wind, abundant clouds and the chance of strong to severe thunderstorms.

The warm temperatures will surge into Michigan from the south ahead of a strong developing storm system in the Central Plains. This storm will take a path into the western Great Lakes region.
