ZEELAND TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WOOD) — Slippery road conditions caused several crashes Tuesday, including a pileup on I-196 involving at least 15 vehicles, according to dispatchers.
Ottawa County dispatchers said around 9:30 a.m. at least 15 vehicles were involved in a pileup on I-196 near Zeeland. Eastbound I-196 at Byron Road was closed, according to the Michigan Department of Transportation. Drivers are advised to avoid the area and seek an alternative route.
It's unclear if there are any injuries.
