GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) — Testimony continued Thursday in the trial of a former Grand Rapids Catholic Central High School student on charges he sexually assaulted girls at the school last year.
An alleged victim, weeping and squeezing a stress ball as she testified, described her encounters with 18-year-old Cameron Cross in elevators sometime in February where she said Cross tried to kiss her and asked when she was going to let him “hit that.” She said she pushed him away.
In a second elevator sometime in February or March, she says she was on her way to her fourth-hour Spanish class and said Cross reached up her skirt and grabbed her buttocks.
She told the Kent County Circuit Court jury that she elbowed Cross and said ‘stop’ but he continued to groped her breasts.
She said when she talked about it she was bullied by people at school and elsewhere and “his family was involved.”
She said she left the school because of the incident, the bullying and because she was afraid to run into him.
