GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) — Grand Rapids police are hoping newly released surveillance video will lead them to the masked gunman who robbed a Subway restaurant.
In the video police posted to Facebook, the suspect is seen walking into the Subway on Monroe Avenue and Leonard Street NW and rob a clerk at gunpoint. Police say no one was hurt in this crime, but they’re concerned the robber could strike another store.
The Jan. 3 robbery was the third crime in six days involving a Subway restaurant in West Michigan. On Dec. 28, a masked man with a knife tried to rob the Subway at 4215 Grand Haven Road in Norton Shores, but the clerk refused and called 911. Three days later, Grand Rapids police arrested a manwho tried to rob the Subway on Wealthy Street just east of S. Division Avenue.
