MONTCALM TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WOOD) — Two children are in the hospital with serious injuries after a crash on M-91 involving a suspected drunken driver, Michigan State Police say.
The crash happened shortly after 6 p.m. Wednesday on M-91 (South Greenville Road) near Holland Lake Road in Montcalm Township, about 5 miles north of Greenville.
Troopers say a 33-year-old mother from Greenville was driving south on M-91 when her Dodge Caravan was rear-ended by a Buick Regal driven by a 42-year-old man from Greenville.
The impact of the crash pushed the minivan off the road and seriously injured a 3-year-old and 8-year-old riding inside. They were taken to the hospital and are expected to survive. Their mother and a 5-year-old sibling also in the minivan had minor injuries.
