ZEELAND TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WOOD) — A Zeeland Township woman is facing felony charges in the death of her 8-month-old son.
Angel Hull, 19, was arraigned Tuesday on felony charges of involuntary manslaughter and second-degree child abuse. Manslaughter carries a maximum sentence of 15 years in prison and second-degree child abuse is a maximum of 10 years.
Authorities were called to a residence in the 3500 block of Hillcrest Way on Oct. 22, where they found Sebastian Hull unconscious and not breathing. Life-saving efforts were attempted, but the child was pronounced dead at the scene.
Authorities say it appears Sebastian was left alone in the bathtub for an extended period of time, and when Hull went to check on the baby after 15-20 minutes, she found him floating in the water.
An autopsy confirmed the child died from drowning.
