HOLLAND, Mich. (WOOD) — Suicide is the leading cause of death among high school students. Tuesday, hundreds of students gathered at Holland High School as part of a program to change that.
The “be nice.” Symposium drew an estimated 350 students and 50 school staff from 26 schools for a positive discussion about mental health awareness.
The four-hour symposium began with a movie and included group work sessions about how to share and roll out the be nice action plan.
