GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) — West Michigan community members can ensure everyone has a warm holiday meal this winter Wednesday.
Mel Trotter Ministries, Celebration Cinema North and South and WOOD Radio have partnered for the 15th annual Turkey Drop. It's an opportunity for people to purchase and donate frozen turkeys to help neighbors in need.
"We know relationships are the key to getting people out of poverty and homelessness, so a meal really starts with that, around your Thanksgiving table. So that's really an opportunity for people to give back, to show that people who are experiencing homelessness or hunger are loved," said Mel Trotter Ministries Vice President of Communication, Abbey Sladick.
