COVERT TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WOOD) — Authorities are investigating a deadly fire that swept through a Van Buren County home.
Around 7 a.m. Friday, firefighters were called to a mobile home in the 29000 block of 76th Street in Covert Township, about 8 miles south of South Haven. Flames had already engulfed the home by the time crews arrived.
The Covert Township Police Department said police and firefighters found the homeowner, 75-year-old Jerry Lee Rawson, outside the mobile home.
