TALLMADGE TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WOOD) — Ottawa County authorities say a deadly head-on crash early Sunday was caused by a man who was driving drunk.
The crash happened around 3:40 a.m. Sunday in the 1800 block of Lake Michigan Drive near the intersection of 24th Avenue in Tallmadge Township, between Allendale and Walker.
When they arrived on the scene, sheriff's deputies found a 26-year-old woman from Allendale dead in her car.
Authorities didn't immediately release her name, but family members identified her to 24 Hour News 8 Sunday afternoon as Brooke Feister. They said Feister was a medical student at Michigan State's Grand Rapids campus.
