SOUTH HAVEN, Mich. (WOOD) — Police are searching for a person responsible for setting off an explosion at a home in South Haven.
It happened around 4 a.m. Friday at a home in the 500 block of Humphrey Street, near Center Street.
Police said a device that appears to be a modified commercial firework partially detonated, blowing out a window of the home. Nobody was injured in the incident.
Officers weren’t notified of the blast until 10 a.m., and responding officers found a portion of the device that hadn’t exploded and called in the Michigan State Police Bomb Squad.
