GAINES TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WOOD) — A woman is hospitalized after her car collided with cement mixer in southeast Kent County.
It happened around 2:30 p.m. Tuesday on Kalamazoo Avenue at 92nd Street in Gaines Township, west of Caledonia.
Kent County deputies say a Buick sedan was heading west on 92nd Street and either disregarded the stop sign or drifted into the intersection, hitting a cement mixer heading north on Kalamazoo Avenue.
The impact of the crash caused the cement mixer to roll. The driver of the Buick was taken to the hospital, but her condition is unclear. The driver of the cement mixer was not injured.
