GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) — Founders Brewing Co. says it’s staying with the Grand Rapids Chamber of Commerce and that social media posts stating the opposite weren’t authorized.
In a Friday news release, the company stated an employee who didn’t have the authorization of company leaders posted the tweet and Facebook message on Sept. 19, which stated Founders stood by the LGBTQ community and would be terminating its membership with the chamber, in light of its endorsement of Republican gubernatorial candidate Bill Schuette.
