EAST GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) — A man is facing multiple charges after allegedly making a threat that prompted a partial lockdown of East Grand Rapids’ middle and high schools Monday.
Windell Sallie, 28, is facing a charge of making a false report of terrorism, a 20-year felony, and one count of illegal entry, a 90-day misdemeanor.
On Monday, a high school student told his counselor that he had been threatened by a relative. East Grand Rapids Public Safety Chief Mark Herald said the suspect told the student he was going to shoot him at the high school, and the threat was very credible.
The student was removed from the high school to ensure the safety of all students and staff.
An arraignment date has not been set.
