GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) — Police say a man is in the hospital with serious injuries after being attacked in downtown Grand Rapids.
It happened around 10:30 p.m. Wednesday in Rosa Parks Circle.
Sgt. Cathy Williams tells 24 Hour News 8 the victim may have “some mental instabilities” and may have said some inappropriate things that sparked the attack.
Williams says a group of four to six people took part in the beating. Officers arrested two suspects downtown Wednesday night; Williams says they will likely be formally charged in the case Friday.
