PORTAGE, Mich. (WOOD) — Another road project in West Michigan has come to a standstill as a labor dispute involving road workers grinds on.
Portage city officials say the reconstruction of South Westnedge Avenue from Romence Road to Mall Drive has stopped because of the contract dispute between the Michigan Infrastructure and Transportation Association and the International Union of Operating Engineers Local 324.
