KALAMAZOO, Mich. (WOOD) — Accident or murder? That’s the question being asked after Thomas William Wyatt was charged in the shooting death of his roommate.
Bill Bolton, 28, was shot and killed early Saturday at the Vicksburg-area home that he shared with Wyatt, who goes by Will. Wyatt, 25, was charged with open murder Monday.
On Monday evening, 24 Hour News 8 called the suspect’s mother Amy Wyatt, who lives out of state, seeking comment. That call was how she learned of Bolton's death and the charge against her son.
“I’m thankful for you for notifying me,” an emotional Amy Wyatt told 24 Hour News 8.
She said her son and Bolton had been best friends since elementary school and moved to the Kalamazoo area for jobs a little over a year ago.
