CROCKERY TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WOOD) — Authorities are investigating after a deadly single-vehicle crash on I-96 early Monday morning.
It happened shortly before 3 a.m. along westbound I-96 near the 12 mile marker in Crockery Township, east of Grand Haven.
The Ottawa County Sheriff’s Office said investigators believe the driver of a 2003 Buick was heading westbound on I-96 when the vehicle left the roadway, went into a heavily wooded area of the median and struck several trees.
Deputies said the driver, 28-year-old Megan Mangione of Kalamazoo, was killed in the crash.
