Closing and delays for Aug. 27

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) — Power outages across West Michigan are prompting closings and delays Monday morning.

Covenant House Academy: Closed due to power outage.
Grand Rapids Community College: Due to power outage GRCC morning classes in the Calkins Science Bldg. are canceled. Classes that begin at 11 am will be held.
Montcalm Area Career Center: No AM session due to power outage.
Montcalm Community College: Delayed until 10 a.m. due to power outage; Greenville campus is open.
Northview Public Schools: Closed due to power outage.
Rockford Public Schools: Lakes Elementary & East Rockford Middle closed.
St. Anthony of Padua School: Closed due to power outage.
West Side Christian School: Closed due to power outage.

Consumers Energy said more than 61,000 customers were without power early Monday morning after storm systems moved through Sunday night.
