COLDWATER TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WOOD) — Crews worked Sunday to fill in parts of the Blackhawk Dam and prevent flooding along the Coldwater River.
The Daily Reporter out of Coldwater reports the earthen sides of dam, which is near Blackhawk and North Behnke roads in Coldwater Township, started washing out after heavy rain Friday. County officials brought in an excavator to dump more dirt beside the dam.
