GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) — Gubernatorial candidate Bill Schuette announced that Lisa Posthumus Lyons will join him on the Republican ticket this fall.
Lyons, formerly a state representative and currently the Kent County clerk, is Schuette’s choice for lieutenant governor.
"I am excited to introduce Lisa Posthumus Lyons as my Lt. Governor running mate! Her leadership on education will help us grow with a better-trained workforce. Lisa is a rising star, dedicated to making Michigan a better place, and an amazing wife and mother," Schuette said in a tweet Wednesday.
