GRAND HAVEN, Mich. (WOOD) — After about two years, work on the south pier in Grand Haven could wrap up this week.
The south pier, which has been partially open this summer, will be shut down completely this week. Tom O'Bryan of the USACE said the final section of concrete is scheduled to be placed Wednesday.
Contractors hope to finish the project by the end of the week and the pier could reopen entirely on Friday, though weather or high waves could delay that.
