COMSTOCK TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WOOD) — A man was killed Tuesday after a one-car crash in Kalamazoo County.
It happened around 10 a.m. on an I-94 exit ramp at 35th Street in Comstock Township.
Authorities said the driver was exiting the highway and didn’t stop at the stop sign at the end of the off ramp, causing him to strike an embankment east of the intersection. His vehicle then went over the embankment and ended up on its side in a field.
The victim has been identified as 34-year-old Steven Erickson of Portage. He was pronounced dead at the scene due to injuries suffered in the crash.
Alcohol isn't believed to have been a factor.
