Kzoo hosting tournament for Little League World Series berth

KALAMAZOO, Mich. (WOOD) — If you’re looking to watch some competitive baseball this weekend, you’re in luck. Kalamazoo is hosting the Intermediate 50/70 Baseball Central Regional tournament.

Two Michigan little league baseball teams are competing for a chance to make it to their league’s World Series. One is from Taylor, and the other is from Kalamazoo.

In professional sports, athletes are known to give tough interviews. They provide short answers to questions.  As it turns out, they learn that skill at an early age.

“It’s cool,” said one player from Kalamazoo. “It’s fun.”

The City of Kalamazoo is hosting the Intermediate 50/70 Baseball Central Regional tournament for the sixth year in a row. That means a Kalamazoo team, Milwood, gets to play in the tournament. They went undefeated and won their district this year.
