Millennials Upset Over Baseball Team's "Millennial Night"

A minor-league baseball team's upcoming Millennial Night has drawn some backlash from millennials on social media. The Montgomery Biscuits announced the promotional night on Twitter promising fans that there would be "napping and selfie stations" and everybody in attendance would get a participation ribbon.

"Want free things without doing much work? Well you're in luck! Riverwalk Stadium will be millennial friendly on Saturday, July 21, with a participation ribbon giveaway just for showing up, napping and selfie stations, along with lots of avocados.”

The tweet did not go over well, with hundreds of replies slamming the team for promoting negative stereotypes about the age group.

One person suggested the team host a "Boomer Night" in the future:

"How about a Boomer night. When the old ppl leave at the seventh inning stretch, we burn the entire field down. Proceeds from Millennial night will pay for the damage."

The team didn't seem to be bothered, taking the criticism in stride by offering free tickets to offended fans who show up at Riverwalk Stadium and submit a "valid complaint."

Offended? Feel free to fight your battles IRL and visit us at Riverwalk Stadium. Any millennials that actually come by during office hours before next Saturday and submits a valid complaint in person to our "Millennial Night Thinktank" may get a free ticket or two!

Vice President of Fan Engagement Mike Murphy defended the promotion to Fox News, saying they were "just having fun with some of the clichés that people point out about millennials."
