GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) — For the second consecutive season, the United Women's Soccer National Championship will be decided in metro Grand Rapids.
The league announced Wednesday that Grandville High School will play host to this year's tournament. Host Grand Rapids FC will play in the semifinals Saturday at 7:30 p.m. against the Inferno Rush.
"As a fan, I was there last year. I have to imagine we had almost 2,000 fans there. The place was bouncing," GRFC head coach James Gilpin said. "To do that again would be amazing. No matter what the game brings out, with the support of the city behind us, we're sure to put on a good performance."
