Grand Rapids Symphony at Carnegie Hall

WOOD TV8 was invited to join the Grand Rapids Symphony and Chorus to New York as they performed at Carnegie Hall.

This  broadcast special, “The Grand Rapids Symphony at Carnegie Hall,” takes  you behind the scenes and lets you meet the musicians, the music  director and conductor Marcelo Lehninger and renowned pianist Nelson  Freire.  

The music for this momentous performance was from Brazilian composers, making it a unique performance.

Hundreds  of supporters, patrons and fans from West Michigan were in the  audience along with New Yorkers for a nearly sold-out crowd.
