KALAMAZOO, Mich. (WOOD) — Police are investigating a shooting in Kalamazoo after a person drove to the hospital with a gunshot wound.
Officers received reports of a person with a gunshot wound at Bronson Methodist Hospital around 11 a.m. Wednesday.
The victim told officers he was shot in the area of Hays Park Avenue near James Street. When officers arrived to the scene, they discovered a shell casing and packaged narcotics discarded on the ground.
Police said the victim didn’t appear to be the intended target of the shooting and their wounds are not life-threatening.
No arrests have been made at this time.
