WYOMING, Mich. (WOOD) — Wyoming police are looking for a man caught on camera pulling a pedestrian into his pickup truck.
Officers were called to Chicago Drive and Wendler Avenue SW shortly after 2 p.m. Saturday, after a witness saw the incident unfold.
Surveillance video from a nearby business shows a female walking east along Chicago Drive when a pickup truck pulls up and parks at the corner, on Wendler Avenue.
The driver climbs out of the vehicle, approaches the female, appears to have a conversation with her, then pulls her toward the vehicle. The pedestrian spins out of his grip, but he regains control of her arms and leads her to the passenger side of the vehicle.
As the man returns to the driver’s side of the pickup truck, the female is seen climbing out of the vehicle and walking away.
The man walks over to her again and leads her back to the passenger side, where she is loaded into the pickup truck before it drives away.
Investigators are not sure what led up to the incident or if the two people know each other.
The pickup truck was last seen heading south on Wendler Avenue. It’s described as a white mid-2000 model Ford F-150 crew cab pickup truck with stock rims, an open bed, beige trim and running boards along each door.
The pedestrian is described as a black female in her teens to early 20s who is about 5 feet 5 inches tall with an average build. She was last seen wearing blue jeans, a pink shirt and a dark, possibly jean jacket. Her hair was gathered into a short ponytail, police say.
The driver is described as a black man in his 20s to 30s who is tall with an average build. He had dreadlocks and was last seen wearing a red T-shirt, blue jeans and white tennis shoes.
