HOLLAND, Mich. (WOOD) — The 89th Tulip Time in Holland will feature new events and attractions. The historic festival officially kicks off Saturday morning.
Organizers are recommending visitors to take advantage of the max transit shuttle to get to and from the festival. The rides cost $5 and there are pickups and drop-offs throughout downtown Holland.

The big attractions for the first week include the Tulip Time Run. Organizers are anticipating more than 4,000 runners to take part in this year’s race, which starts 8 a.m. Saturday.
Then the artisan market with over 250 vendors begins at 10 a.m. Saturday in Centennial Park. The Kinder Carnival kicks off at 11 a.m. Saturday.
The People’s Parade will be held from 2 p.m. to 3 p.m. Wednesday. The route is along 8th Street from Columbia Avenue to Kollen Park.
The Children’s Parade will be held from 2 p.m. to 3 p.m. Thursday. Like every year, it will feature area school children walking down 8th Street in Dutch costumes.
Then the Music Parade will be held Saturday. It’s the longest parade route in Michigan with over 170 units walking 8th Street from Columbia Avenue to Van Raalte Avenue to 24th Street.
